| GEORGIA AQUARIUM
|
During my 4th of July weekend in Atlanta, Sidse and I stopped by The Georgia Aquarium and i must say, I'm no big fan of animals(mammals/fish) being held in captivity, but it was quite impressive seeing these fish/mammals swim right above you. The Georgia Aquarium, located in Atlanta, Georgia at Pemberton Place, is billed as the "world's largest aquarium" with more than 8.1 million US gallons (31000 m³) of marine and fresh water housing more than 100000 animals of 500 different species. The aquarium's notable specimens include four young whale sharks, three beluga whales and a manta ray. |

The big tank is 4574 square feet of viewing windows, a 100-foot-long underwater tunnel, 185 tons of acrylic windows and the viewing window is 23 feet tall by 61 feet wide by 2 feet thick.
